Nightmares are typically your "Inner Guidance"
really trying to tell you something!
Nightmares or bad dreams can be difficult to interpret because of the escalated emotions involved and the disturbing nature they typically depict. Typically, most people would like to forget about them as soon as they wake up. The last thing people typically want to do is remember and contemplate the meaning of something that is terrifying, horrific, or ugly to look at. This is understandable, but these nightmares contain important information for self awareness, personal growth, healing and spiritual guidance.
Pay particular attention to reoccurring symbolic themes. For example, I used to have frantic dreams where I was late for something. Then when I awoke, I had to determine what it was in my personal life that I had fallen behind on. For lack of a better description of this occurrence, I believe nightmares are your spirit trying to get your attention in a way that is hard to ignore.
If violence or the threat of imminent danger is present, it may be symbolic of something crucial that is happening in your life. Something that you haven't been paying attention to or are denying to yourself thereby putting yourself in harms way. The internal distress from failing to put conscious attention towards these areas of your life could literally threaten your spiritual wellbeing. If you deny it long enough, it could, and likely is, manifesting itself in your life in other ways such as in the form of disease or other health issues.
This is particularly true for reoccurring nightmares. Your spirit is trying to tell you something important, and it will benefit you to pay attention. When you discover what the related life issue is, and do the work to analyze the situation and take responsibility for it, then the nightmares should cease. If they don't, you haven't addressed the heart of the issue yet.
Until you begin the Awakening process, your ability to look at yourself this closely or deciphering the
in your nightmares, probably won't be very accurate. Don't let this worry you because whatever guidance you do get will still be exactly what you need at the time.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do."
