Eckhart Tolle's transformational work teaches us how to;
Live in the Present Moment, or what he calls;
"Living in the Now"
Eckhart Tolle is the author of profound inspirational books such as;
The Power of Now and A New Earth.
These books can be truly life altering! Eckhart Tolle primarily discusses how living in the "Present Moment" is the only reality there really is, and as a consequence, it's the only place we can experience true peace and joy. He explains that when you learn to slow down and focus on the here and now, you start to experience your true nature as you begin to re-connect with the "Universal Guidance" that comes as you align yourself with the "Source" of all life. This alignment helps you understand the reality of life and brings a feeling of peace that only emerges in the present moment. At our deepest level we are all one, and when you connect with the source you are merely tapping into the one consciousness that every form of life is part of.
That "form" of life has been called "Spirit", "God", "Enlightenment" and many other labels, but it is simply who you are at your core once you have cleared away the toxic thinking that has disconnected you from that knowledge. Beyond the physical form and beyond thought we are enlightened peaceful beings that are guided from a source beyond the ego and the physical.
I love listening to recordings of Eckhart Tolle because his voice is very calm and soothing which helps in the slowing down of the mind. I have also found that I receive some of Eckhart's information through feeling the context of his message and by allowing that context to penetrate deep inside my being, rather than just trying to intellectualize everything.
Eckhart says that God can be found in the stillness of life or the space between the thoughts. Being fully present and in a state of complete awareness connects with the "Source" or the "One". In this deep state of no thought, which means no past or future, we are one with the "One". The "One" is God or the "Source" of all life. So in other words, you are one with life. In this state of being life becomes a paradise!
Eckhart Tolle reminds us that everyone's life situation is complex and problematic. However, living in the "Now" or the "Present Moment" instantly transforms are experience to one of peace, happiness, and joy. How long we are able to remain in that state of being depends on how quickly we allow the ego and the mind to start up with more thoughts again.
A great addition to Eckhart's work is the work of Byron Katie because she teaches how to challenge our stressful thoughts thereby allowing those thoughts to let go of us. This makes her work a perfect supplement to Tolle's as it enhances your ability to quite the mind and live in the present moment.

Eckhart's material will walk you through the basics of Human Behavior and Spirituality, making it an excellent resource for those who are just becoming consciously aware of the Awakening Process. Even though Eckhart's material is simple in nature it is highly advanced and very profound. "Truth" is the same way. The ego wants truth to appear more complex and difficult to understand so as to distract us or discourage us from seeing its simplicity. That's the ego's job, for once we see truth and become conscious of reality, the ego will lose its power over us and cease to exist in our lives. The ego's survival depends on us remaining in an unconscious state, but living in the present moment increases our level of consciousness by being fully aware and fully present.
The past is a figment of our imagination, and the future is just a fantasy. The present moment is the only reality. Of course we all have thoughts and inspirations about our future, just try to remember that until they unfold they're not real and they should be looked at primarily as a simple entertainment or something to work towards. Everything is tentative until it manifests, so being consumed by or attached to the future keeps you distracted from reality and under the ego's control. Alert presence is the essence of being fully conscious.
"Awareness is; Consciousness without thought."
Eckhart Tolle has been featured publicly many times but one his most well known moments was with Oprah Winfrey when they did a live, world wide, web event where they discussed one of his latest books "A New Earth". The event was the first of its kind to allow Eckhart and Oprah along with people from across the globe to interact simultaneously with each other. For me the event really captured the the Universal Truth that "we are all one" and that we share many of the same concepts and questions.
Eckhart is a renowned spiritual teacher and his work has benefitted the lives of millions. No discussion on the Awakening Process would be complete without the inclusion of his great work!.

"Presence is the key to freedom, so you can only be free now."
"When your consciousness is directed outward, mind and world arise. When it is directed inward, it realizes its own Source and returns home to the Unmanifested."
"The beginning of freedom is the realization that you are not "the thinker". The moment you start watching the "thinker", a higher level of consciousness becomes activated. You then begin to realize that there is a vast realm of intelligence beyond thought, that thought is only a tiny aspect of that intelligence. You also realize that all the things that truly matter- beauty, love, creativity, joy, inner peace- arise from beyond the mind. You begin to Awaken."
