Brief and Casual Relationships

Don't misinterpret the Profound Meaning and Impact These Relationships Can Have!

Brief and Casual Relationships are designed to keep us on track just like longer or more intimate relationships are. All our relationships are designed to help us awaken and become conscious.

I can’t count the number of times someone has entered my life for only a brief moment and had something very profound to say or add to my life! It’s as if God was trying to say, “Wake up Travis, you’re missing it!” Then I would re-focus and get back on track again.

I believe we all agree to do these “Divine Interventions” for each other before incarnating. This agreement also seems to supersede whatever consequences come with carrying out our agreement. For example, if the information you pass on is difficult for the recipient to hear, it could mean the dissolution of that relationship.

Who knows for sure why we say and do the things we are compelled to say or do. Only God knows the answer to that. What I do know, is when inspiration bubbles up inside me, I feel I have little choice other than to follow it.

I’m not talking about ego driven incessant talking, or giving your unsolicited advice, for those who simply like to hear themselves speak. I’m talking about Inspired Messages that your heart is telling you. Sometimes things are said before you even realize your saying it.

These Brief and Casual Relationships serve another purpose as well. Since there is less Emotional Attachment to the relationship, people seem more willing to speak freely and honestly, as long as they’re not trying to people please or stay politically correct.

Like everything in life, divine guidance can come from anywhere, and many times it comes in where you least expect. Learning to pay attention to your Brief and Casual Relationships is another way to tap into these less obvious sources, that contain wonderful gifts just waiting to be discovered!

"Responsibility does not only lie with the leaders of our countries or with those who have been appointed or elected to do a particular job. It lies with each of us individually. Peace, for example, starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us."
H.H. The Dalai Lama

Abraham Joshua Heschel

"When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace."
